The Year 8 curriculum is built around the College's philosophy that in order to effectively choose their electives in Year 9, students should ideally be exposed to each of these subjects in Year 8.
The Year 8 curriculum consists of core subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, Christian Studies and Study Skills) which run for the whole year, and twelve trimester subjects which run for a third of the year, with students enrolled in four trimester subjects at a time.
For more information on each of the subjects on offer, see TCC Subjects.
Years 9 and 10
The Years 9 and 10 curriculum consists of core subjects (English, Mathematics, Science and Christian Studies) and sixteen elective subjects, from which students choose four. All electives, as well as Christian Studies, are run as combined classes of Years 9 and 10 students.
Years 11 and 12
The Senior High years offer exciting opportunities for students to discover what it is that God has gifted them with to leave their mark on the world. TCC is committed to providing Senior High students with individualised and flexible pathways through Years 11 and 12 to life after school.
During Years 11 and 12, students are able to transition to and even commence their chosen profession, through a range of initiatives, including: School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships Nationally-Recognised TAFE Certificate Courses Studying a University Subject While Still at School
In addition to this, TCC offers a diverse range of nineteen school-based electives to complement the core subjects of Mathematics, English and Christian Studies.
