Primary Leadership Development
At TCC Primary, students are given many opportunities to develop their leadership skills. They are taught the importance of being a servant-leader and to lead by example.
Year 7 students have the opportunity to be chosen as a Primary School Captain, Primary Vice-Captain or as a House Captain or House Vice Captain.
The Head of Primary also takes a number of Year 7 students to leadership development courses throughout out the year. This includes the Young Leaders' Day in Brisbane, the Toowoomba Ecumenical Service and Young Leaders' Dinner.
Year 7 students, with guidance from the Head of Primary, coordinate the Primary School Assembly each week, which provides a valuable experience for students to develop their public speaking skills and confidence.
Students in all Primary classes are provided with opportunities to enhance their leadership skills, ranging from taking-on weekly classroom responsibilities, working with younger students and sharing devotions, to leading a Science team and captaining a sporting team.
