Toowoomba Christian College Primary offers a range of sporting opportunities. Each class has a weekly Physical Education lesson and students in Years 6 and 7 participate in interschool sport. Students in Years 4 and 5 participate in a transition program which teaches them the skills for participation in interschool sport.
Students who excel at a particular sport or event have the opportunity to represent the College at competitions including Range Zone and Darling Downs. Several mornings each week, all students in Lower Primary (Years 1-3) start their day with a physical program called PUMP which develops essential skills and assists in switching on their brains for learning each day. Every year the Primary School has an Athletics Carnival, Cross-Country Carnival, Ball Games Carnival and Swimming Carnival. Students are awarded points for their house not only for winning but also for participating. This teaches students that competitiveness should be balanced and healthy and that we are here to encourage each other in our God-given talents.
